OUAS meets every Tuesday night during term time with speakers from various institutions within the UK invited to give a talk to the society. After each meeting members usually go along to the pub where they can socialise and chat to the speaker in a more relaxed atmosphere. The society also runs excursions and social events each term, and endeavours to run an excavation each Sunday, often in collaboration with other local groups.
