National body for aviation archaeologists and researchers. Initially formed by those investigating crash sites, the area of study has expanded to cover related aspects such as airfield architecture. The council aims to establish and maintain ethical standards and promote the preservation of aircraft relics and related documents and artefacts. There are 3 overseas (Associate ) member groups and 6 research (individual) members. Now E H recognised
