Programme of lectures and excursions. The Morda Valley Research Project, set up to record the history and archaeology of the area south of Oswestry town, has not progressed further during the year. An interim Report has been prepared, but circulated only to members. The Trefonen Old Colliery Preservation Project was successfully completed, with a handover of the completed project to the Borough mayor in June 2000. No active excavations are currently in progress.
