Co-operating with the Greater Manchester Archaeological Unit. Carries out documentary research, geophysical survey and fieldwalking. Since 2003 we have been carrying out small scale excavations at the site of Gristlehurst Hall.
This year (2010) we are carrying out small scale excavations at the site of Gristlehurst Hall. The dig takes place every Wednesday (weather permitting) from April to October. Volunteers are welcome and should contact Mr N. tyson for full details. Informal training is given on site.
