Castell Henllys Iron Age Fort

Situated off the A487 between Cardigan & Newport, this partially reconstructed Iron Age promontory fort is sited within thirty acres of woodland and river meadows. Castell Henllys is open to the public Easter to the end of October, and all year round for school/college visits. A large scale training excavation organised by the University of York takes place every summer investigating the Iron Age site and adjacent Roman period farmstead. Over 100 activities and events throughout the season. Visitor Centre and gift shop.
