SAHS covers the whole of Staffordshire. The society was founded in 1959 and has published transactions almost annually since. It is a large society with a considerable institutional membership. Talks by eminent speakers are given throughout the winter months to meetings of the society. In the summer months other events are organised for the varied membership. The society has a considerable history of archaeological investigation and research. New members are always welcomed and encouraged.
