A society for anyone interested in the rich history of the Leighton Buzzard area, LBDAHS was formed in 2006 from the two local research groups  Leighton Buzzard & District Archaeological Society and Leighton Linslade Local History Research Group. Today, the society holds meetings, provides speakers, carries out excavations and encourages members of all ages to carry out research on their own and as a group.

The group has a wide range of publications, transactions and newsheets, many of which are available on their website.
