The Society of approximately 40 members, meets on the first Friday of each month, except for January and August. Meetings are held in the Community Centre beginning at 7.30 pm usually finishing by approximately 9.00 pm.
Talks are given by well known speakers on a variety of wide ranging historical topics, usually of Northern origin and interest. Summer visits are also arranged to historical sites within the region.
