Run with the desire to encourage local groups to remain active in the Kent area, this active society organises frequent lectures, excursions and training excavations. It also publishes the academic journal Archaeologia Cantiana, featuring 300 pages on Kent’s history and archaeology that is free to members. Members also receive a Newsletter two times a year. There are several opportunities for volunteers to gain experience, with whom the society has worked and supported for over 150 years.
Grants are offered through the Allen Grove Local History Fund and the Kent History Fund, more details of which can be found on the society’s website.
