The Isle of Thanet Archaeological Society is an active Society of enthusiastic amateurs, based in the Isle of Thanet, in the east of the County of Kent in South-East England.

Our aims are ‘to promote, for the benefit and education of the general public, the study of the archaeology and history of the Isle of Thanet’, and also the rest of Kent. Our activities include: regular Members’ Evenings, monthly talks, courses in history and archaeology, walks, visits, holidays, day and weekend trips to places of archaeological and historical interest, taking part in archaeological investigations and excavations, providing social and fund-raising activities such as quizzes and an annual Christmas Dinner.
