Centre for Environmental Magnetism and Palaeomagnetism (CEMP). We undertake commercial (and non-commercial) archaeomagnetic dating, using any materials which are suitable, which normally means hearths, ovens and other heated features, although occasionally naturally deposited sediments associated with archaeological contexts are used. We also undertake magnetic characterisation of soils and archaeological materials for ?ground-truthing? magnetic geophys, surveys. We have worked with most of the larger contractor organisations.
