This is an annual excavation which is now centred on the field adjacent to the Roman villa site. A magnetometry survey by members of the Roman Studies Group showed evidence for Roman field ditches, a lime kiln and many other anomalies. Excavation has revealed extensive late Iron Age and Roman activity on the site with ditches, pits, ritual activity and cremation burials.
