The Caerleon teams will be working on Roman samian from Caerleon and district and on decorated ware from the samian workshops at Lezoux.
An enthusiasm for Roman pottery and a willingness to learn by handling the pottery are the main requirements, rather than any specific knowledge.
The first meeting will include an introduction to samian and the projects.
