Bexley Archaeological Group’s Annual Training Excavation will commence on Monday 24 July – Friday 28 July 2017.
The site is situated in Bexley, Kent. BAG have been excavating there since 2005 and it is a great site for training students.
Over the course of 5 days, students will `field-walk`, learn about geophysics, levelling, finds processing, archaeological illustrations, site drawing and excavating. Talks will be given on health and safety, claypipes, pottery and finds processing. Students will be taught by members of BAG who have qualifications in archaeology and history.
