Our curator, Dr Ros Cleal, recently celebrated a remarkable 20 years at National Trust Avebury’s Alexander Keiller Museum – and we marked the occasion with this fantastic cake, created by our talented Curatorial Assistant Michele Drisse, with help from our volunteers. Having spent far, far too long studying prehistoric pottery, we felt it was only appropriate to pay tribute to Ros’ work in the form of a cake. The pots and sherds are all edible, and depict a range of prehistoric styles and decorating techniques.
