Exeter University, Department of Archaeology

Exeter has approximately 250 students in total, and currently offers five undergraduate programmes in Archaeology, and five taught Masters programmes.

What they say:

“The Archaeology Department is a vibrant academic community that provides a friendly and relaxed environment in which to study. It is housed in customised accommodation in the Laver Building. Here it has dedicated teaching and research laboratories, work rooms for postgraduate students and postdoctoral and other research staff, artefact storage and processing facilities, a drawing office, dark room and common room. The Department has recently been refurbished (£0.8M) and facilities now include a landscape research room, chemical laboratory facilities, facilities for experimental archaeology and finds processing and a microscope suite.

Our Single Honours BA Archaeology offers a great range of choice, while the BA Archaeology with Forensic Science is a groundbreaking degree looking at how archaeological and scientific techniques are used to investigate the past and in modern day crime investigations.”
