The society is very active. It runs an annual training excavation at Upper Row. We have our own geophysical survey equipment to use on local sites. Winter lectures & Summer walks & excursions.

Co-ordinates 20 local groups in Kent. Holds two annual conferences, two open days and publishes The Kent Archaeological Review – a quarterly journal. Some affiliated groups welcome volunteers in local excavations.

Post excavation work continues on the excavation of the medieval pottery kiln at Norlington Lane, Ringmer. Opportunities for ‘watching briefs’ for the local Planning Authorities.
