The present group has grown out of two previous projects which are based in Creeting St Mary, Suffolk. The first project located two churches, All Saints & St Olave, which had ‘disappeared’ from the landscape. We excavated St Olave and CA published an article in Dec 2003 issue number 189. The second project concentrated on fieldwork and post excavation and is due to be completed in early summer 2006.
The activities of the group are open to everyone wishing to extend their archaeological experience other than the usual digging.
‘Self sufficient’ volunteers are welcome to join our team but please remember we are a small volunteer group who work only on Sundays.
