Archaeology Abroad is produced annually and provides a gateway to hundreds of exciting archaeological excavation and field school opportunities outside the UK, suitable for all pockets and levels of experience. Comprehensive guidance notes on joining a dig overseas are included, together with feature articles, exhibition reviews, reports on their digging experiences by Fieldwork Awardees, plus directory-style listings for a wide range of key organisations, societies, publications and websites. Subscribers are kept up to date with news and information about additional fieldwork opportunities not included in the annual edition of Archaeology Abroad via Email Updates issued on an occasional basis throughout the year.
Individual subscribers are eligible to apply for an Archaeology Abroad Fieldwork Award of up to a maximum of £200 to help meet their excavation expenses. Projects applied for must be listed in either Archaeology Abroad or in an Email Update.
Archaeology Abroad is produced as a PDF file on CD ROM, providing readers with easy browsing and access to additional information on all projects and listings via live email and website links.
