The society aims to promote a historical awareness of the maritime heritage of West Wales. It is engaged in the restoration and sailing of vintage boats and teaching skills associated with them. Documentary research and talks are also conducted, as well as construction of model ships for local museums.
Volunteers are needed to help out at events and to lend any photography, audio or video recording, draughtsmanship, administration or fundraising expertise for the modest research service available to the public.
