Brine Springs and Archaeological Trust

A charitable trust formed to preserve the ancient Upwich Pit and brine springs at Droitwich, Worcestershire. Excavations on this site show continuous exploitation of the brine springs since the late Bronze and early Iron Age to the 20th century. Now a Spa town, this concentrated brine is used for therapeutic purposes. (NO EVIDENCE OF EXISTENCE)
