WARG, the society for Winchester archaeology and local history, promotes the study of archaeology and local history in the City of Winchester and the surrounding area, through meetings, walks, field walking, excavations, excursions and other events. It also provides work parties and other support for the Winchester Museums Service and develops training activities for volunteers
