Records and interprets the archaeological sites, monuments and buildings of Scotland’s past and promotes a greater appreciation of their value through the National Monuments Record of Scotland (NMRS), the national archive of the Scottish built environment. The website includes access to the searchable database of the NMRS, giving information on Scottish sites and an index to the archive items held at RCAHMS.
