The MIAA is a non-profit organisation that endeavours to develop, implement and assist research programmes that explore, analyse or protect the heritage resources of the African continent. While encouraging global awareness and participation, we strive to involve individuals, groups and communities from disadvantaged backgrounds in educational and empowering experiences through archaeological initiatives.
The MIAA has headquarters in the US and in the UK, and regional offices in Cape Town, South Africa, and in Rome, Italy.
