The Friends of the Petrie Museum support the conservation, display and publication of the outstanding collection of Egyptian artefacts held by the Petrie Museum. They enjoy a range of lectures, events and activities as a result of their membership.
The collection is largely derived from the excavations of W.M. Flinders Petrie and his colleagues and successors. Its strengths lie in the wealth of archaeological material exhibited in its excavated context to illustrate the development of Egyptian culture, technology and daily life.
