Local Authority Unit within the county council Environment and Heritage Service dealing with all aspects of planning advice, countryside and other advice, for the historic environment of Cornwall and Scilly including maintenance of the Historic Environment Record. The field section (formerly Cornwall Archaeological Unit) operates within Cornwall and Scilly and covers a wide variety of work including survey, excavation, property assessment, industrial heritage and urban assessments.
