North Cornwall Heritage are running archaeological excavations around North Cornwall on three sites from the medieval period, as well as providing surveying opportunities on other multi-period sites within the area. We will be on site between July 10th-24th and are looking for participants to come and join our existing team. No experience is necessary, so any interested parties are welcome.
We have been working in the area for the past 9 years. This year, our projects are focussing on academic research as well as continued local research and will increase our overall understanding of the wider landscape in and around the area of Bodmin Moor and Tintagel.
Our sites for 2016 (subject to change):
NCH01 where work will be excavating once again a medieval settlement focussing on the earlier phases of the settlement and the relationship to the wider landscape.
NCH07 where we will continue survey work on the site of a medieval military monastic order within the Blissland parish on Bodmin Moor.
