National Museum Wales hold pottery workshops in both Caerleon and Cardiff during the year.
That in Caerleon in the autumn of 2016 will be working on Roman samian stamps from Caerleon and district and on decorated ware from the samian workshops at Lezoux. An enthusiasm for Roman pottery and a willingness to learn are the main requirements, rather than any specific knowledge of pottery. The first meeting will include an introduction to samian and the projects.
For information contact Dr Peter Webster at the Museum (Peter.email@example.com). There are no fees but you will need to enrol as a Museum volunteer (volunteer form on the Museum website or contact Ffion.firstname.lastname@example.org).
