Brecon Beacons National ParkThe Brecon Beacons National Park has volunteer opportunities in both archaeology and heritage.  Those involved will work alongside park officers in on-going projects such as helping with the production of the Local List and helping to record and conserve archaeological remains.  No previous experience is necessary. Projects tend to be more suitable to those aged 16 and over. Please check the website for more information.

There are also a number of family-friendly archaeology walks planned for 2013. The National Park’s Archaeologist is leading a number of short guided walks to explore the archaeology of three of the most impressive hillforts in the Brecon Beacons National Park, and take in the spectacular views and scenery, including the hillforts of Y Garn Goch, Twyn-y-Gaer and Pen-y-Crug. Booking is essential.
