Current Archaeology Awards 2014 – winners announced!

The results are in, and having counted your votes, we are pleased to share the winners of this year’s CA Awards, as announced on Friday 28th March at  Current Archaeology Live!  2014.

Archaeologist of the Year:  Richard Buckley
Rescue Dig of the Year:   Sands of Time: domestic rituals at the Links of Noltland  (EASE Archaeology / Historic Scotland)
Research Project of the Year:   Return to Star Carr: discovering the true size of a Mesolithic settlement  (Vale of Pickering Research Trust)
Book of the Year:  Shakespeare’s London Theatreland, by Julian Bowsher

Every year, the  Current Archaeology  Awards celebrate the projects and publications that have made the pages of  Current Archaeology  over the 12 months, and the people judged to have made outstanding contributions to archaeology.  These awards are voted for entirely the public – there are no panels of judges.
